MPC External Sleeve Choke – High-Performance Flow Control for Severe Service

1. Overview

The MPC External Sleeve Choke is part of NOV’s Maximum Performance Cage (MPC) series, featuring an external sleeve trim design.
It is specifically engineered for high-pressure, high–differential, and erosive service such as sand-laden or severe production environments.

2. Key Features & Benefits

- External sleeve mechanism: a sleeve moves along the outside of the cage to open or close flow ports, ensuring precise and stable throttling.

- Erosion resistance: the flow-impingement principle dissipates energy and reduces downstream wear.

- Wear Monitor system: detects early signs of seat or sleeve erosion, minimizing the risk of washout.

- Flexible flow capacity: flow characteristics or rated Cv can be modified by simply replacing the seat assembly—no need to change the entire trim.
